How PremaPLUS works
PremaPLUS is composed of a mixture of complex chemical molecules of unique surfactants and combustion improvers which, when blended into a base fuel, lower that base fuel’s overall surface tension at liquid air, liquid liquid, and liquid solid (pipe wall) interfaces. This promotes lubricity, detergency, combustion efficiency, and allows for improved atomisation of the fuel in the induction and combustion chambers, reduced ignition delay, resulting in a more complete and efficient burn, improving fuel economy and reducing harmful emissions, smoke and pollution.
The combustion improver component reduces the ignition delay period allowing for higher combustion efficiency and therefore maximising fuel economy and easier engine start.
The surfactants work by reducing the surface tension of diesel fuel so that passage through the injector forms a greater number of finer sized droplets when it is sprayed into the engine. The larger total surface area of these finer droplets enables better mixing of fuel and air in the combustion chambers. Fuel molecules and oxygen molecules have an improved chance of meeting and reacting, resulting in more complete combustion.
Due to its surfactant chemical composition, PremaPLUS cannot cause any harm to engine components. Surfactant chemicals actually lubricate and form a protective coating on the surfaces of costly metal components, reducing friction and wear and extending their useful lives. The surfactants’ cleansing action dislodges abrasive particles of dirt and debris from metal surfaces, freeing them to be removed from the fuel as it passes through filters. Clean fuel injector nozzles produce a more uniform spray pattern that promotes complete combustion.
A further benefit is that molecules of PremaPLUS encapsulate the small amounts of water that are always present in fuel, preventing them from hosting bacteria growth and forming organic acids that can harm metal engine components.
Once our additive is blended with a base fuel, the blend forms into and remains a stable solution. No additional mixing or agitation is required for the fuel blend to remain perfectly mixed.
